Faith Over Fear: How I Stopped Shrinking and Stepped into My Calling
I was beyond scared to turn my personal Facebook page into a healing platform for women. I’ve spent most of my life shrinking myself to fit in—dimming my light, hiding my intelligence, and silencing my authenticity just to avoid being labeled “arrogant.”
In my master’s program, I was taught that the “issue” most people have is a lack of education. So I thought, if I just teach them, they’ll be happy. Right? Nope. Not only were they not happy, but somehow I became “too much.” Arrogant again.
So I shrank even more. Played the “dumb girl” role. Some people clapped because I was a great mom, but I’ve always been more than that. Others only stuck around for what they could get from me. And honestly? Deep down, I was hurting.
Joining a relationship accountability group changed everything. I didn’t know my coach would become my unofficial auntie, the life coach who gave me the permission slip I didn’t know I was waiting for—to be myself.
Fast forward—I went to one of her retreats, and the power I felt in that room was indescribable. I came home different. I prayed and told God, I’m ready. Use me. And the amount of healing I had to endure just to help others heal? Whew.
But this time, unlike all the other times I tried and stopped, sharing came naturally. The posts flowed. My voice was steady. I had an overflow of wisdom to share. It wasn’t just me. It was Him.
Faith Over Fear.
